Ruth, “Ruthie,” or “Ruth Caboose,” as she’s affectionately known, lived as a stray for at least a year. Kind people in the neighborhood she chose fed her and befriended her, and then they helped care for her puppies when she became a mama! These guardian angels realized that the little family needed help, so they reached out to the rescue community. Ruthie and her puppies then went into foster care – one of the puppies was so eaten up with fleas, however, that he needed a blood transfusion and an overnight hospital stay. Ruthie was a wonderful mother, but now that her puppies are gone she needs a home of her own! She is a sweet and playful girl.
