Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clyde is our newest coonhound rescue. He's been at a boarding place in Virginia for several months, where he was left by another well-meaning rescue that ultimately couldn't take him. Clyde is a loving, friendly hound who enjoys attention from everyone. He walked in the local parade and happily greeted everyone - what a great coonhound ambassador! Clyde is about 5 years old and weighs about 53 lbs. He's an energetic hound who would love an active playmate and a fenced yard or an adopter who will get him out for walks several times a day. Clyde has arrived and is ready for visits in southern NH.

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants.
Our Adoption Process
Visit our website www.necoonhoundrescue.org for information about the Coonhound and Beagle breeds. Read ‘Is a Coonhound Right for You’.
If you'd like to apply, our application is available at the link above. Once we review your application one of our Adoption Counselors will be in touch to review it with you. Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.

More about this rescue
Coonhounds make wonderful pets. They are very sociable and affectionate and get along well with families and with other dogs. Outside of New England, coonhounds are mostly used for hunting and are often discarded and undervalued if they turn out to be poor trackers or are not needed anymore. Our mission is to educate people about the suitability of coonhounds as pets; to provide support to coonhound owners; and to re home as many coonhounds as possible .
