My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Lt. Dan to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Lt Dan is 2.5 years old. He weighs about 36 pounds of short and squatty body. He is a Bassett/Healer dog mix. He has the low-rider appearance of the Bassett. He is good with kids, good with other dogs, good with cats and he is potty trained. He is good on a leash and loves strangers. He was found as a stray on the streets of San Antonio in the rural area. He may have been dumped. We are not sure how he became a stray. He has ice blue eyes and is ready to take direction. He would be a great family pet. He would love walks and a nice yard to mill around in. He would be fine with the social butterfly type family that is moderately active. He would be a good one to go with you to Starbucks, Home Depot or any other public place. He is very social with others and wants nothing more than attention. He knows the sit command and is a great walking companion. He likes to slide and does so like a seal. This boy will keep you smiling. If you need a happy go lucky dog that is fun and happy then this is your boy. He would be great with children. We like them 8 or older. He is currently in Texas. He can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and ready for his forever home. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
