(DOB 8/1/2023) Berkley would like to ask, "Did I HEAR you want to adopt me?

Berkely is ready to love and be loved! This youngester is looking for an active family with daily walks and play time . Berkeley is a sweet boy, and is just looking for the right family to take him home and love him fur-ever!!

He is crate trained and house trained

Berkley is highly motivated by food or treats which is awesome! It is a great age to teach and learn; Berkley is ready to have "daily lessons" with positive reinforcement training to build his big brain and make him a well behaved young adult! Berkley wants walks each day and getting out to see and do new things, meet new people, and have new experiences. He is a little shy still with strangers but warms up quickly.

He loves to play, as well as being held/ pet, He would do best in a home with older children. He is sweet boy and on the submissive side. He shares his toys and loves to play He would love a fenced yard to run around and romp in but it is not a requirment. He loves being with his people so make sure have you plenty of time to spend with him daily!

As part of Berkley’s $325 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy,

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home. http://pawsforlifenc.org/pet-adoptions/apply-for-adoption/

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. An adoption fee of $275 for dogs under 6 months $250 for 6 months and older and $95 for cats, Senior Cats $50. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

Paws for Life NC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue formed in 2002 to help solve the problem of homeless dogs and cats in Franklin, Granville, and Northern Wake Counties, NC.

Our rescue focuses on four area of need in the community. We provide foster homes for cats and dogs. We offer vouchers for low-cost spay and neuter. We assist community/feral cat through our "Cats for Hire" barn placement program.
