My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diamond is a 7 year old, 13 lb, Chihuahua who’s as beautiful as her name implies! She is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. She is really one of the sweetest girls ever, though shy at first and sometimes timid to touch initially (mostly for men and children or those who approach her too quickly without knowing you), she does warm up quickly if you simply give her a chance to get to know you. Once you start petting her, there’s no stopping! She’ll paw at you and nudge at your hand to tell you she wants more attention. She LOVES belly rubs so once she shows you her belly, you know you’re her best friend now.

Diamond loves to cuddle and will hop on the chair, couch, or bed with you to lounge around right next to you for as long as you want. She’s really like your second shadow but with that said, she's not clingy either. She is the perfect dog for someone who works from home or works at a desk in general. She sleeps peacefully under your feet while you work or will find a spot by your chair to relax in for hours on end without a peep. But when you need to go about your business outside of home, Diamond is also perfectly fine with that too. She will lounge on the bed, couch, or go in her crate if needed and won’t make a peep. Once you come home though, she celebrates your arrival with the biggest wiggle butt and happy whines. The only time we’ve heard her bark is when a stranger is knocking on the door or ringing the doorbell. Otherwise she tends to communicate with little grunts, groans, and whines like if she wants attention, needs to go outside, or wants a walk.
Oh yes, She LOVES walks!! She would love a family who will take her on a morning and evening walk at least. She does very well on leash and does not pull. And despite her small stature, she will walk for as long as you do and could easily keep up with a larger dog. She’s easy going and mellow but always up and ready to go when you are. She loves her naps but when she wants to play and if you’re busy, she will simply entertain herself by tossing a toy around on her own. Though she loves playing with you too. She’s completely house trained, leash trained, crate trained, and rides well in the car.

She’s great with other dogs but minds her business and does not go in other dogs personal space just as she expects them to not get into hers either. She is great with cats! She would do best in a home without young kids, especially if they do not fully understand or respect when she does want to be pet. She would thrive best in an adult (older kids are okay) or retired persons household who wants an easy going and pretty much perfect companion to lounge around with and take on walks throughout the day with. She is highly adaptable and can do just fine in a home with a yard or an apartment/condo lifestyle. We absolutely love this girl and we know she is going to bring so much love, life, and joy into her forever home.
