Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sheba - A Fairy Tale
In a land not far away called Brown County, is a cat named Sheba. A beautiful girl with fur of gold and brown and eyes of green, all Sheba wants is to find her happily ever after.
You see, Sheba knows in her heart that she is a sweet and loving cat, but she has been under the spell of fear. At the shelter, Sheba tried so hard. She would happily greet all visitors with soft head butts and gentle purrs, reaching out for the friendship she so badly wants. Everyone would smile at how cute and sweet she was, but then her anxiety would build up and she would lash out. It was just all too much.
Then, Sheba met her Fairy Foster Mother, who took her home for a break. There, under the new spell of patience and kindness, Sheba has been able to relax, away from the crowds and noises. She has stopped being overwhelmed and is now calm and happy. She spends her days lounging in sun puddles and learning which toys are her favorites (anything that rolls). Her purrs have become even stronger and she whiles away her time snuggling with her foster mom, watching the birds outside the window, and finding all of the softest places to take naps. Best of all, she is finally able to show off what a sweet and loving companion she really is.
Sheba's foster home is filled with love, but it's only temporary - the forever love she seeks is still out there. She longs for the day when she'll have her own peaceful home: a peaceful place where she can be the only pet and take long, luxurious naps; where sunbeams stream through the windows and the birds fly outside; where there are tennis balls to chase, and where she can share her love with her own forever companion.
Can you be Sheba's happily ever after? Since Sheba is in foster care, she will require an appointment to meet her. Please complete an online adoption application and a staff member will reach out to set up a meet and greet.
A wonderful friend of Sheba loves her so much they have sponsored her adoption fee!
