PHYSICAL FENCE REQUIRED
Buffy is a tender-hearted 7-year-old Rough Collie who dreams of enjoying a peaceful life with a forever family of her own. Buffy’s life before rescue was anything but peaceful and pleasant, but ever since she came to TSCR, her tail has been wagging a little bit more every single day.
Buffy’s foster mom tells us that she is a sweet, gentle, and low-key companion who simply loves to be loved. Buffy is very timid at first when meeting new people, but with patience and time, she learns to trust the people who she meets. Once she has bonded with someone, Buffy likes to always know and be where they are. She also loves being talked to and responds with good eye contact and the most adorable head tilts!
Buffy only barks when absolutely necessary, and she enjoys going on leash walks and doesn’t pull (except when she spots a squirrel!). She also thinks that it’s great fun to snatch socks, shoes, mittens, and dish towels off the oven handle when she can!
Buffy has absolutely loved being a part of the pack in her foster home, and she gets so excited when the resident Collies invite her to play! We think that Buffy will be happiest in a forever family with at least 1 dog sibling for her to play with—and to help her build her confidence.
Buffy has been working hard on her training and socialization. She has mastered “sit” and is working on “come,” which is tougher for her given her past traumas that shook her trust in people. Those traumas also mean that Buffy does need a physical fence at her forever home to keep her safe. Her perfect forever person/family will have the patience, compassion, and time to gain her trust and continue building her confidence.

In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog.
