Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Maltese mix
Female, 8 years old (estimated), 13 pounds
Dottie is a very gentle and mellow little lady who will immediately invite anyone she meets to give her belly rubs or pick her up. And who could ever resist petting her silky and beautiful coat? Her natural black lipstick is probably one of her most adorable features, along with her serious snoring and wild REM dreams. In spite of her blindness, she navigates her surroundings amazingly well, although she needs a bit of a guiding hand on slow leashed walks in unknown territory. This sweet girl gets excited when she catches a whiff of another dog nearby, then follows her nose to go sniffing for them. She can be a bit clumsy and may accidentally bump into other dogs, sometimes to the surprise of all involved. She does not have any known experience with small children and would prefer to live in a calm and predictable household.
Miss Dottie has tons of joy and love to share and is looking for human companions who will make her golden years extra special and are understanding of her needs. She would like you to know that car rides make her pretty nervous and being left home alone makes her anxious. She would love to find someone who is equally content spending lots of quality snuggle time at home, would enjoy toddling around the yard together, or going for slow strolls in the surrounding neighborhood. This 13+ pound nugget needs to get picked up and carried around a bit and she would also appreciate continued potty-training. Her foster family likes to brush her luxurious curls every day and, above all, just love her to pieces.
Dottie came to us from Hollister Animal Services so that she could get the medical care she needs.
