My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Meet Cally: A Loyal and Playful Pup Looking for her Forever Home"

Hey there, I'm Cally! I may only be 1 year old, but I've already been through a lot. My previous owner surrendered me to the shelter, but I know that just means there's a special family out there waiting to love me. I'm a female German Shepherd mix, weighing in at 75 pounds of pure love and energy.

People say I'm beautiful, and I can't argue with that. My fluffy and soft fur makes me look like a teddy bear, but I promise I have the heart of a lion. I'm an active and playful girl, always ready for a game of fetch or a run in the park. I would love to join an active family who can keep up with my energy and teach me new tricks.

Don't let my initial shyness fool you - once I trust you, I'll be your most loyal companion. I may be a bit nervous around men and new people at first, but with slow introductions, I warm up quickly. I'm a clever and intelligent girl, always eager to learn and please my humans.

I may need a strong handler, but I promise to be the best furry friend you could ask for. I prefer to be around adults and would love to meet any potential dog siblings before coming home with them. With the right family, I know I'll fit right in and bring so much joy and love into your life.

Think you could be my forever family? Come meet me at the shelter and let's see if we're a perfect match. Just be prepared for lots of cuddles and kisses! I can't wait to find the loving home I deserve.

If you are interested in me, please give my friends at The Humane Society of Sedona a call. I can't wait to meet you!! I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!

Please call between 10am-4pm to schedule an appointment to meet one of our animals! 928-282-4679.

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
