Purrjury was brought into Smittens with her 3 kittens. They have all been adopted, but she is still waiting. Her ears are collapsed from chronic ear infections in her outdoor days, and she has only half a tail a tail that was also injured and paralyzed in her outdoor cat days, when she had to live rough and fend for herself.
You would never know it by listening to her purr, though! She's an absolute sweetheart. Purrjury will purr up a storm whenever she might get attention, and she loves to make biscuits while you talk to her. She plays fetch, and sometimes she even brings the toy back! She loves wand toys, treats, and taking naps with her human. She'll even let you know when it's time for bed!
Purrjury does not like sharing attention with other animals. She likes to be your one and only! She will bully other cats. But she's a complete sweetheart with people, and can't wait to find a home where she will be showered with the affection she missed out on for so many years while she was on the streets!

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
