My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What can be said about the bonded pair of 5 year old cuties known as "Lucas and Nugget? Not since the days of Batman and Robin have a dynamic duo gotten into so many adventures and foiled so many bad guys. You'll easily know Lucas, as he likes to be in the front, scouting out any perilous situation, while Nugget, minus his teeth (for medical reasons) likes to lay back and wait for the call that the coast is clear. What you're getting is 2 cats for the price of ...well...2.

Lucas is described by colleagues as being fun living and personable, while his buddy Nugget is the strong silent type, but always thinking. Think of all the crazy adventures you can have if you decide to bring this crime fighting duo into your home and your heart.

Both of these top notch crime fighters come equipped with all the latest gadgets, including whiskers and tails, and are up to date on all shots.

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
