Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cooper came to the shelter as a stray on January 10th. He hasn't been here long, so we are still getting to know him. He is a one year old, 53lb pit/lab mix with strong muscles and big paws! From what we've seen so far, he is playful, energetic, and sweet. He would likely appreciate an active family or a fenced-in backyard. He is affectionate and cuddly! He is housetrained and is non-destructive in his kennel and with toys and beds. He knows how to sit, but he does need some basic training. He wags his entire butt when he is happy, which is quite often.
He hasn't been dog tested yet, but he tries to say hi to the other dogs and play with them thorough the fences. If a dog barks or growls at him, he just walks away completely unbothered. He is not yet neutered, but will be before adoption. He is strong and will jump on people when he is excited, so he would probably be too much for small kids until properly trained. Come down to the shelter during opening hours to meet him yourself!
