Dog's Name: Bo Duke (BOD0124OWSMN)
Estimated Breed: Husky / Lab Mix
Approximate Age: 9 Months
Approximate Weight: 42 LBS
Currently Living at: Foster
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Bo Duke! This gorgeous boy and his five siblings from the Wednesday Litter came from a high kill shelter in Southern Virginia. Bo Duke is now on the hunt for his forever home. He is your typical sweet and friendly pup. Bo Duke loves to be around his human friends as well as other dogs and is great with kids. He is a smart fella and has already learned some basic commands and is house trained, but not a fan of the crate. Please keep in mind that young dogs need lots of patience, love, socialization, and training to become the best canine citizens they can be. This sweet boy will make a wonderful addition to an active home. Submit an application today!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org.
