My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Miki!  Miki is a sophisticated older lady (12/13) and weighs 70 lbs.  She is good with other dogs but prefers them to be older, not hyper.  She enjoys playing with children but hasn't lived with any.  Miki lived with two cats in the past and loved them dearly. Sometimes they’d take over her bed and she’d look to her owner for some help. Dogs, cats and kids!  Can we say trifecta?

Miki is a super sweet girl.  She loves long slow walks and sniffing around for new smells.   She has a tendency to pretend to chase animals. S he will bark lightly, then position to take off after them, but she quickly runs out of steam. She doesn’t do anything when she catches up to the animals, just sniffs  them.  She used to be an active runner, and she still is at heart!  She’s had surgery on both ACLs which makes it difficult for her to take stairs but not impossible. She would prefer a home with very few stairs.

She isn’t excitable but will bark when someone comes to door, which is a great thing generally because it means she’s paying attention. She is completely house trained and able to be left alone for several hours at a time. She is not anxious when left alone, but she will follow you room to room when you’re home to ensure that you aren’t having an issue finding anything. She will find a comfortable place to sleep and chill once you’re settled. She loves wet food but will eat dry kibble when asked nicely.

Miki is spayed and up to date on core vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $300.  If you would like to make her a much loved part of your family, please fill out our adoption application here!
