My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lonely no more!
Looking for a constant companion?
Dobby is too!
Someone who is home most/all of the day would be ideal. He can not be left alone for long; he's more like a dog in that he really needs his people around. Dobby is happiest interacting directly with someone: either playing with or sleeping on you! At night, he loves to curl up next to his favorite person under the covers so he's nice and warm. He is definitely not the kind of cat who can be left while his family goes on vacation. (Typical of Sphynx cats)

Dobby is confident & loves people.
He's great with all humans, but he does NOT want to live with kids; he is happy to play with them, but will pee on their bed if given the chance!
He's also not good with other animals. (After 2 months, he still hisses at my other cats who just ignore him.) He is a little diva who wants all your attention!

Dobby loves to play, snuggle, eat, catch bugs, & sit on his cat tree in the sun. His favorite game is chasing wand toys with his person! Dobby really loves his tall cat tree, and looking out the window from the top. His forever home would definitely need to have a tall cat tree by a window. He also uses it as a scratching post, and leaves all furniture/rugs alone, which is great.

Dobby needs his person to give him a weekly bath (Sphinxes are *not* hypoallergenic as oils build up on their skin requiring regular baths).
Dobby would love a warm home as he gets cold easily (he's naked after all!), but he dislikes wearing a jaunty sweater (even though I've tried several different kinds…).

Dobby is neutered, vaccinated, FELV negative, & microchipped.

Dobby is looking for someone who will shower him with constant attention, understands the unique needs of Sphynx cats, and has a regular veterinarian for annual check-ups.
If this is you, please fill in an adoption application online at https://purebredsplus.org/adoption-application/

Dobby is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet food, and eats dry food.

He currently lives with his foster family in San Francisco.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Dobby please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Emily at esharkey@ymail.com or (415) 516-9794. If you are unable to reach Emily please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
