My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sam Sam, a super smart splash Boston Terrier. Sam is mostly blind but has crazy good hearing and gets around on his own very well. He adapts quickly to new surroundings. He is a very affectionate boy and loves to give his people kisses. Sam gets along with other dogs, but wouldn't mind being an only dog. He would enjoy a home with a fenced in yard so he can roam (with supervision).

He loves playing tug-of-war and snuggling up next to his humans, especially with his head under a blanket. Sam gets uncomfortable and can be reactive when putting on his collar (harness preferred) or going to the vet, but a little prep (e.g., a dose of CBD or trazadone) can help calm him.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
