My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Manny is an extremely sweet dog who loves snuggling and long walks. He is completely housebroken, crate trained, walks great on a leash, and has his basic training skills down. He loves adventures, food, and squeaky tennis balls. He also loves attention, he wants to make sure you are watching when he squeaks his toys. If you let him he will hop up and lay right on top of you to give you all the cuddles. He adores people and can't wait to be adopted!

Manny would love a fur sibling of any size, although he does like to be the center of attention at times. He especially loves dogs that will run around and play with him but is more than okay with dogs who don't want to play. He would do best in a home with older children, teenagers, or adults.

Manny spent time in a board & train facility learning some fundamentals in training. He would do best with owners who will continue to work with him and are willing to provide him with the structure he needs.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
