My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prince was living at a used Auto Car Lot in a very bad area.  He slept under cars to stay cool and would wander off when people showed up and come back at night to go under a vehicle.  We heard about his sad existence and we brought him into our rescue.  He is 3 to 4 years old and 65 lbs.  He is a true protector of his home.  He prefers females but with slow introductions he is ok with his male foster parent.  He is house and crate trained.  He is curious with cats and great with dogs after proper introductions.  He is truly "the flying dog".  He loves to be outside and will jump from the dock into the water to catch a frisbee as well as launch himself on top of something high to jump onto a passing dog buddy as if he is jumping into a wrestling ring!  lol...Prince has huge potential for the family or single person that wants to invest their time and love into him.  The perfect family will be active in nature and outdoors and understanding of him wanting to be a part of you and your life.  He loves to give kisses and loves to be with his humans.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. They are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $300 to $350 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $350 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.

More about this rescue

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................
