My name is Lexi!

Hi, I'm LEXI. I'm 1 year young, 35lbs, heartworm negative, and looking for my perfect family! I am a really quick learner and already know the "sit" command. I am housebroken and will stand by the door when I need to go out. I am also crate-trained and go right into my crate to sleep at night, although I do not require crating. I get very excited to see my favorite people and will jump with joy and wiggle my bottom to greet you. Besides that, I am a calm girl and do not chew or destroy anything. I really enjoy feeling the breezes and the sun on my face when I play outside or go on walks. I am still working on my leash skills and when I get on the scent of something, I pull a bit. I love to play with my stuffed toys (the squeakier the better!). You should also know I am a champion frisbee catcher and would love for you to play with me! I love children and the older kids are best for me to play with. I am good around cats as long as they are nice to me, but I do get overly excited about playing with them sometimes so the dog savvy cats in my foster home keep me mindful. I am still learning about other dogs because I never had them around to play with before. I want to have a friend to wrestle with, but I bark when I see a doggie friend because I'm not sure if they will be nice to me. I am learning how to play still and just need some time and understanding. If you don't have any dogs, that's fine. I love getting all the attention. I will let you know if any strangers or suspicious characters are outside too! If I get to come live at your house, I would love to sit together on the couch and watch your favorite shows, then retire to the bed with you if you let me!
