Name:Rocky Best Guess for Breed: Min Pin/Chihuahua mix
Best Guess for Age: 6 years as of January 2024 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight:17 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs and cats. Rocky cannot go to a family with children under 12 years of age due to his size and breed.
Currently Living at: DC area foster
Special adoption considerations: Rocky cannot go to a family with children under 12 years of age due to his size and breed. He also cannot live in an apartment.
Rocky D is Looking For: A forever home! This great little dog dreams of being on laps, licking faces, and more love! He definitely wants to go on walks and explore his neighborhood, and is up for any adventure, either walking by your side or riding with you. You see - this dog is the perfect size to go everywhere with you!
Rocky needs time to adjust to new situations and may be a bit anxious at first. He would do best in a quiet neighborhood. Rocky would prefer to wake up to the sound of birds chirping than big trucks and buses.
What My Foster Says About Me: Well-trained, polite and sweet, and definitely a ladies’ man! Does not bark very often and can be protective. Rocky D is great at house-training, eats and drinks well, so if you want a gentle dog that still likes to play with toys and LOVES to snuggle with you, this is the dog for you.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
