My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Clover and Sammy are in a foster home. ***

Clover: black & white tuxedo, short hair, spayed female, born 8/22/23, #18662
Sammy: taupe/brown Siamese mix, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 9/17/23, #18734

Other cats: bonded & do well w/others
Dogs: calm dogs only
Children: cat-savvy tweens+/adults

Clover's litter of six was born on a hot parking lot; witnesses redirected cars and tried to help the people-wary mama, but she ran off and did not return. The newborns were taken in for critical neonatal care, but their birth trauma was too much for most of them. Clover survived but struggled: she needed tube and syringe feeding around the clock for months, much longer than most unweaned kittens, and it took her longer to learn how to swallow and then eat on her own. Sammy was found half-dead and alone in the middle of a road when he was about three weeks old; he was rushed to the same medical foster who had Clover, where he received lifesaving care and was then bottle-raised. The two were introduced when they were healthy and have been quite the duo ever since!

---Clover's sweet nature was there from the start, and with all the hands-on care she has received since her birth, she is very people-oriented! She will climb all over you when she wants attention, purring mightily, flexing her paws with happiness, and giving your face and/or your hair a good washing. Clover is very active and playful and little plastic springs are her clear favorite when it comes to toys. She has the cutest little chirp-meow! Though she can sometimes be a restless cuddler going back and forth between your lap and shoulder, once she settles in for a nap she's there for the long haul. Due to her birth trauma, we believe that Clover has some slight neurological impairment. Her mannerisms are a little different than other cats, and she can take longer to figure things out but she gets there in the end. She's a special kitty who has come so far, is doing so well now, and is looking for a lifetime of loving companionship.
---Sammy is a little firecracker with a focused intent in everything he does! He will pick up his favored toys and take them to meals with him. He loves to pounce on Clover and then groom her. He adores playing in tunnels and stealing the stoppers out of sinks. When he decides it's time for cuddles, Sammy will march up your chest, stare into your eyes, and then flump on his side for serious snuggling. If you've got a fleecy-soft robe or hoodie on, he will suckle on it, cozily kneading his paws as he drifts off to sleep. This sweet boy is a headstrong rascal, but such an adorable loving one.
---Clover and Sammy love to romp, wrestle, groom, and snuggle! Having Sammy around has also helped Clover learn what it means to be a kitten. They MUST be adopted together.

Clover and Sammy get along with other welcoming kitties. They have met two senior Chihuahuas and did well; other calm cat-knowledgeable dogs may be okay. They have not met any children, and we recommend either an adult-only home or one with gentle and cat-savvy tweens or teens.

Clover and Sammy are little miracles who (with a lot of help!) triumphed over their hard starts in life. The future is much brighter, and they are looking forward to spending it with YOU!
