My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Broue was found as a stray in May 2023 in Laval before being brought to the Animal Rescue Network. He showed signs of a fight, so it's not surprising that Broue is a carrier of feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). For more information about FIV: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv   Despite this, he's in good health and can live a long and happy life indoors! Broue had a skin infection and we also had to pay for dental work before having him adopted. That's why he stayed with us so long. Now he's more than ready (if you ask him!) to join a loving family. Broue loves people and will make a perfect co-worker. He talks a lot, so you must appreciate a cat who will communicate in this way. Broue is very greedy, so it's easy to win his affection. He also loves to play! He's not always very good at sharing his space and his human with other cats, so he'd probably be more at home in a family where he's the only cat. Alternatively, he could live with another cat if his home is big enough and the other cat doesn't try too hard to get into his bubble. Broue could very well live in a family with children. Who will be lucky enough to adopt handsome Broue? Broue is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access, for the first month following adoption, to a 30 minutes video consultation with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood ( https://www.felinegood.ca ).

In order to get a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:  https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All new adoption homes are carefully screened to determine if they are suitable. There is an adoption fee that includes the sterilization, initial vaccination of every animal, testing for FIV and FeLV of all cats at the shelter, and a 21 days trial period. A contract is always signed between the ARN and the adopter for their protection. A follow-up by an ARN adoption coordinator is often done either by telephone or by visit, and we also offer help/cousel for the life of the cat.

Go meet their pets
