My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"Meet Your New Best Friend: Orange Julius!"

Hi there, I'm Orange Julius, an adorable and handsome 1-year-old male cat. I may only weigh 7 pounds, but I've got a big personality and an even bigger heart. My breed is Domestic Shorthair, but I like to think of myself as one-of-a-kind. I'm a happy and playful boy who loves to spend my days chasing toys and taking naps next to your side.

I'm a social butterfly and I love everyone I meet. I've never met a person I didn't like! I'm an outgoing and confident cat, always eager for a good cuddle or a play session. I especially love to jump up on my human friends and look out from their shoulders! Plus, I get along well with other cats.

My special trait is being FIV+, but don't let that scare you. I'm healthy and thriving, and I don't let my chronic condition stop me from living life to the fullest. Check out this website to learn more about how special us FIV+ kitties are: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus

I may be young, but I have a lot of love to give. I'm constantly craving affection and I'll be your constant companion and loyal friend. I may have some quirks, but they only make me more charming. So please, come meet me and see for yourself how wonderful I am. I promise to make your life a little brighter and your heart a little fuller. Will you give me a chance?

I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you, so please come visit me!

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
