My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEDICAL HOLD *Available for adoption March 1st once she completes heartworm treatment*

Hi, my name is Copper and I promise I’ll be the bestest girl you’ll ever own! (At least that’s what my foster parents say.) I am shy at first but if you give me pets and treats, I’ll give you kisses! Sometimes my foster parents say I give too many kisses, but that’s crazy because there's no such thing as too many! I like to play with my foster parents’ huge puppy sometimes but she wears me out. I need a home with a fenced yard so I can stay safe while on bunny & squirrel patrol. My foster’s cat doesn’t bother me so I don’t bother her. I know how to sit and lay down when I get a treat. I walk on a leash pretty well but distractions make me pull my foster parents around. I’ve never had an accident in the house and can hold my potty for a long time! I don’t like to be stuck in a crate when my foster parents aren’t home but I don’t chew on anything I’m not supposed to. Sometimes, I just go in my crate to take a nap with the door open or just nap on the floor or dog bed. Give me a chance to be your furever companion!

Copper is a female Retriever/Mountain Cur mix who weighs 35 lbs and was born approximately 5-16-22. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. She was provided life-saving heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventative (as all dogs should). Adoption fee is $450 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. All information regarding adoption policies are on our website***
