My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Title: Meet Margo - A Charming and Intelligent Companion Waiting to Steal Your Heart

Hello, my name is Margo and I am a sweet and loving 1-year-old female dog. I may be petite in size, but I have a big heart filled with love and happiness. I'm writing this bio from my cozy bed at the shelter, hoping that someone will read it and see just how special I am. You see, I was returned to the shelter through no fault of my own. It's hard for me to understand why, but I am trying my best to stay positive and believe that my forever family is out there waiting for me.

I have a pretty face and a charming personality that will surely make you fall in love with me. I am also very intelligent and eager to learn new things, making me the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and well-behaved dog. My activity level is relaxed, so I would be content snuggling up on the couch with you, or going for leisurely walks in the park. I am also a social butterfly and love making new friends, both human and canine. I would be the best friend anyone could ask for.

I get along well with other dogs and I am great with kids too. I love playing and cuddling with them, and I promise to be a gentle and patient companion for your little ones. I may have had some setbacks in my life, but I have not lost faith in finding a loving family who will cherish me forever. So, if you are looking for a loyal and loving best friend, please come meet me. I can't wait to charm my way into your heart and make you see just how special I truly am. Let's make each other's dreams come true. Thank you for considering me.

More about this rescue

A.C.A. is a network of foster homes, an entity formed to help animals from Evansville Vanderburgh Animal Care and Control. Most of the animals in our foster care program have all come directly from EVACC.

We choose to pull from EVACC because of the thousands of great animals that come through the shelter each year. Thousands of cats and dogs (and some chickens, horses, and small furries) are relinquished to the shelter each year. Some are given up by owners, victims of hard times, or new living circumstances. A larger portion have come in as strays, found on the streets of Evansville, held for 7 days at the shelter for an owner to reclaim them, and then given a very short period of time in which to find an adoptive home before the kennel is needed again for the next animal that comes in.
