My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This pretty girl is Roxy.  She has been in our care for awhile.  She is almost 2 and has been through a lot.   Her eye developed ulcerations and it had to be removed.  It doesn't seem to have affected her at all as she is super friendly and playful and has become another of our pirate queens.  If you want, you can buy her a pirate patch and maybe a cute bandana on her head, teach her to say AARRGH - we won't judge you!  She could be a social media star and have a billion followers. Or just delight and amuse your family for the next 15 years.  We don't know what the future holds for her, but we do know that she is a happy girl who is looking for a home and we hope you take her into consideration as your new family member.

Roxy is about 2 years old and weighs about 65 lbs.  She feell behind in her exercise routine after she had surgery on her elbow.  It is an area that takes awhile to heal but she has and is doing great and dropping weight now that she can move about freely.  As she is a Lab mix we think she could become a great walking/running partner. She needs more room to move around and exercise, and big comfy beds (or maybe the couch?), and big bowls.  She will give you big hugs and big love too!!

She loves people of many sizes but she doesn't like a crate.  She is perfectly happy on her bed on the floor.  She is potty trained and leash trained.  We are a little in love with her adorable white front 'ankle socks'.  Look at these eyes saying please take this good girl?

Roxy will come to you spayed and fully vetted.

Additional adoption info

Congratulations on deciding to adopt your new family member! Thank you for choosing adoption. There are so many pets looking for their forever homes. It is our goal here at 4 Dogs Farm Rescue to make sure that each dog we place is in their perfect environment and completely compatible with their new family. This ensures that they never find themselves seeking a loving home again. The adoption process begins with an application. In order to qualify, we ask that you fulfill these requirements in order to adopt one of our dogs:

1. Be at least 21 years old, we occasionally make exceptions for younger, rock solid applicants.
2. Fill Out an Application and impress us with your dog savvy!
4. Show A Solid Reference (your veterinarian will do)
5. Must Own or Have Landlord Approval Yes, we'll check.

4 Dogs Farm Rescue Adoption Process

1. Fill out our application and email it to 4dogsfarmrescue@gmail.com
2. After we receive it, we'll contact you by phone or email with feedback within 1-3 days
3. You may be invited to meet the dog once we have reviewed your application and spoken with you by phone.
4. If after the initial meet and greet, if it feels like a match, we'll arrange a home visit with one of our knowledgable volunteers.
5. You may then be invited to take the dog home under our foster contract, and the dog will be marked "Adoption Pending" on websites.
6. During the foster/adopt period, there will be home visits to see how dog and family are adjusting. The foster/adopt period may be anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks, longer in special cases. We do not put a time frame on proper introductions and adjustments. Each dog is unique and may respond differently to new environments and situations
7. Once the dog is responding well to you and your family and pets, and 4 Dogs Farms Rescue feels it is a perfect match, you'll sign an adoption contract, pay the agreed upon adoption fee.
In return for all the dog screening and home screening, the rescue and you can feel confident that the dog you take home is a pet you're fully prepared to own.

Our team will stay available to you for the life of your pet should any questions or concerns come up. If this sounds like an adventure you're ready to commit to, we'd love to hear from you!

Visit our website www.4dogsfarmrescue.org to see our available dogs. We are constantly receiving new rescues. Please email us at 4dogsfarmrescue@gmail.com to inquire about new dogs that have not been posted yet. Our goal is to save as many dogs as possible. Even if we don't have any that fit what you are looking for in a life-long companion, we have connections with other rescues and do our best to match any rescue dog with their forever families. Think of us also as fur baby matchmakers!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to find dogs their forever families. This usually begins by taking in shelter dogs who have run out of time or dogs surrendered by their owners. After they come in to our rescue, our top priority is to get them as healthy as they can possibly be. Occasionally, we get dogs that end up in our hospice care program. For them, we find them a loving family to live out their final days with. For the others who are healthy, our goal is the same, to find them their perfect forever homes. This may include training and rehabilitation in the process. We offer follow up training to adopters and do everything we can to make a perfect match for both people and canine.
