Meet Charlie, a 10-year-young tuxedo boy with a heart of gold. He is one of the sweetest kitties you’ll ever meet! He loves to sit in your lap and especially loves tummy rubs—so much so that he will start drooling out of happiness! :)
This cutie has hyperthyroidism which requires a once daily pill (that he takes like a champ with his wet food) and he eats urinary food to prevent urinary problems. Other than that, he is the picture of health!
We believe that he may prefer to be an only cat as we have noticed he may be a smidge territorial. Charlie is simply waiting for the right person to welcome him into their life and give him all the attention he craves and deserves.
Fun facts:
⁃ He’s really good at jumping!
⁃ Takes his pill crushed in a bite of wet food like a champ!
⁃ He LOVES fancy feast grilled wet food.
⁃ He likes his urinary wet food a little less but will still eat it if mixed with fancy feast. :)
⁃ He has put on significant (good weight) since starting his thyroid meds. He was underweight for a while. Yay!

This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

The volunteers at Jake's Place are diverse group of dedicated animal lovers. Some of us have worked in rescue before, some are new to it. Some of us have known each other for years, others more recently involved. Having all come together in the last few years and finding that we had the same passion to help cats, we started thinking about the possibilities of putting our various expertise to work in creating something wonderful. While Jake's Place is a relatively new organization, our work goes back 14 years and our energy and drive is stronger than ever. We are committed to rescuing responsibly, fostering in loving & caring homes and finding the best possible forever homes.
