Take the Pet Home
This helps Mostly Muttz Rescue with pet care costs.
Sam is a smart, active, young shepherd mix that is looking for an adopter who can provide him with a structured routine while he becomes accustomed to his new home. He is a sweet boy who loves to please, and especially enjoys being rewarded for his good behavior with belly rubs, butt scratchies and tasty treats! He fancies taking walks around the neighborhood where he can sniff his environment and mark the territory to let other dogs know that there's a new guy in town. Sam is working on his loose-leash training, and will look to you for support if he becomes overstimulated. He also likes curling up on the couch with a nice chew toy after a good play session. He is house trained and crate trained, using the crate as his place to relax and decompress after a busy day. And he will "sit," present his "paw," and "lay down," if compensated properly ;) Sam would thrive in a household that is willing to put in the time to teach him the ropes and help him understand his role in his new home.
If interested in adopting Sam, please email the rescue at mostlymuttz@gmail.com.
Available for adoption on or after 1/20/2024
