My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now here is a handsome black cat with eyes that you can just get lost in! Boo is 14.5 years old and found his way to HART this past Fall when his former guardian could no longer provide care for him. He is what we consider a dream cat to be, just so loving and amazingly sweet. He enjoys naps, laps, and good head scratches. Boo also likes to cuddle with both his feline roommates and people alike. He can often be found charging his solar batteries.

Boo is diabetic and is currently well-managed with a low-carb, canned food only diet and twice-daily insulin injections. His adopter will need to have an established relationship with a veterinarian and a vet check will be required. We require and provide counseling and training on the care of a diabetic cat before sending them to their new home. Since there is some training for Boo's care needed, he is not able to leave the same day that you meet him. If he requires insulin at the time of his adoption, HART will provide the first vial at no cost, along with a blood sugar testing meter and related supplies. In addition, a generous supporter will provide $100 worth of food to get Boo started in his new home.

Boo would love nothing more than to find a new forever home and family of his very own for his golden years. Complete an adoption application and come in meet this super kitty in Room 4.
