My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted to a CCR Volunteer

Sandy is going to a foster home where they will work with her and possibly adopt her. She has a bad case of anxiety and is scared of everything. She is quite a handful. Send donations to CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or PayPal to larrydonnacarp@aol.com. Any amount is appreciated.

We are not taking any applications right now and No Phone Calls. This cocker spaniel girl needs a lot of patience and our foster to work with her. She has severe anxiety issues and is scared of everything. If she gets spooked, she bolts, and we have to chase her down. A secure, sturdy harness will always be a must to keep her safe when leash walking.

Meet Sandy, a reddish buff Cocker Spaniel girl, 1 year and 4 months old. She was born in September of 2022. She is an owner give up from a lady who only had her for a month and was hoping she could become a good companion. She got her from an elderly couple who adopted her from an irresponsible breeder. They chose her because they wanted puppies and gave her away to this lady when the pregnancy didn't take.

Sandy has been groomed, spayed and updated on vet care. She is anxious and scared of everything and is having issues with eating her meals. When she is ready to be adopted, an adult home 60 and younger with teen children 14 and up will be best as she is easily scared and will bolt making you run after her to get her. Our foster will be working with her, but it takes a lot of patience. A sturdy harness is highly suggested when leash walked. A secure fenced yard is a must, no invisible fencing and no dog doors. She will do best in a home where she is not left alone for long time periods and can go outside often to do her business. Patience, love and your help to get her more comfortable are all key factors.

Please donate as shown above. Thank you for your kindness.
