Jax is a 6 month old kitten rescued from living outside! He loves his new life indoors and is sweet and friendly. He would like to have a cat buddy in his new home.
Jax is special needs because he had a degenerative disease which caused his femoral head to crack. He had surgery to have the head removed and is doing fine with a slight limp. He can run around just fine.
He was also diagnosed with Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy. He will have a shorten life span on 3-4 years. He is currently on a once daily medicine.
He loves attention. He does not like to be picked up. Young kids might not be best so they don't hurt his leg. It took him a little bit to feel comfortable in his foster home. He likes to play with the young kitten in the foster home. He follows his foster Mom around and can be a little under foot. If you think you can spoil him for the shorten time he has send us an email.

AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low-cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
