Ragnar Lodbrok (male tuxedo) and Princess Aslaug (female tabby) are a bonded pair that were found living in the parking lot of a car repair shop in Albany. They are both about 4 years old.
Ragnar is very affectionate and friendly with a laid back personality. He’s a cool cat that just wants to chill and adores head scratches and cuddles. Asluag has the cutest little meow and softest fur! She is also very sweet but on the shyer side so she will need some time to acclimate to new people and places. She likes affection on her terms once she knows it’s safe. She relies on Ragnar for comfort and security so they absolutely must be adopted together! They spend most of their time hanging out together on a cat tree bird watching by a sunny window. They are both still learning how to play but they do like indulging in catnip, crinkle paper, and tasty noms! They don’t seem to mind other cats but it is unknown how they are with dogs and children.

AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low-cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
