My story

Hi my name is Teddy and I am ready to find my forever family. I’m full of fun loving energy and adore long walks through the neighborhood and playing ball in the backyard. (I’ll help you keep that exercise resolution you made!) I enjoy roughhousing with my foster brother and sister, so an energetic canine sibling would be just grand. I have not been officially cat tested, but enjoy barking at and pulling on the leash to chase the cats I see on my daily walks.

Being that I am still a puppy at a year old and 40 pounds, I will do best with kids over 10, although I do fine with tiny humans as young as a year old for short periods of time. I am 100% potty trained, vetted and crate trained. Although I can be vocal in the crate, I don't play Houdini and make great escapes.

I am being fostered in Amarillo but can travel to my new family. I am healthy, neutered, and fully vaccinated.

Once we have your application we will begin our screening and matching process so we can help find you a perfect match.

All Applicants are interviewed, reference checks and a home visit completed.

Once approved and you have met a dog that you would like to adopt, an adoption contract will be completed and an adoption donation of $300.00 requested to complete the adoption process.

BCR&R is totally dependent on our volunteers and foster homes, most of whom have full time careers and commitments outside of BCR&R. As a result, we work with potential adoptive families in the evenings and weekends.

Border Collie Rescue & Rehab (BCR&R) is a network of volunteers and foster homes dedicated to helping save Border Collies, Border Collie mixes and other similar herding breeds.

The dogs in our program have come from shelters and the streets and we bring them into our homes and provide them with the training and love necessary to help them become valued members of a family. We call it our Rescue & Rehab Program.

All dogs are provided with necessary veterinary care and are microchipped. The dogs in our program will live with us as part of our families for a minimum of 3 to 4 weeks for evaluation and training in addition to ensuring overall health.
