My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you have room on your lap for a sweet calico mama needing a pet parents love? I am your cuddling buddy.

I was 8 mos old when I was abandoned by my owners in below-freezing temperatures. I was cold, hungry, and worse yet, I was pregnant.

When I came to this rescue, I was scared at first that I was able to find way down to a claw-space and hid from the attic. The volunteer eventually found where I was and brought me to safe space. Through kind interaction of food feeding, I warmed up to them in few days.

With nutritious food, I gave birth to five healthy kittens. Most of them were adopted, but what about me? After a rough start, Ive turned into a cuddly cat.

Im thinking my story is worthy of a movie, and YOU can give it a happy ending!

More about this rescue

Cindy Yee Kong, author of The Eyes of the Lion, grown up in an abusive, alcoholic family while dealing with a genetic debilitating disease, she experienced first-hand what it is like to be abused and neglected. That is why she felt the strong urgency to do something about these abused, homeless cats that had been ignored and pushed aside.

She found Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center Inc. under the pressing need of rescuing and re-homing overpopulated stray cats in her community. Her love for domesticated animals began when she was comforted by a rescue kitten in her trying time..
