My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Freddy! Freddy came into foster after being found outside with his siblings, Turtle and Frankie. Freddy is an old soul; he's independent and a bit set in his ways and is still working on getting the hang of indoor life. He's a bit more shy than his siblings and tends to prefer to relax and unwind on a chair across the room from you. He takes a little longer to warm up to humans, but once he gets comfortable, he will actively ask for pets where you'll note he has the most silky black fur, and the cutest white bikini on his belly!

A surefire way into Freddy's heart is with toys. Freddy loves to play and has a soft spot in particular for feather wands. Freddy gets along with other cats and can often be found cuddling with his foster brother. He should be adopted into a home with a confident kitty companion that he could play with and look up to as he gains more confidence! Freddy hasn't been around kids, but if adopted into a home with children, he would likely do best in a home with older, cat-savvy kids. He hasn't been around dogs. It will likely take a little while for Freddy to become comfortable in your home and he will need some time to acclimate. He would do best with an adopter who is cat savvy and willing to start him off in a small room to adjust.

Freddy is about eight months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Please apply to adopt this handsome cat today!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
