My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** Cheesy Gordita Crunch is currently in a foster home, and is available for adoption! Email applications@chicagocaninerescue.org to set up a meet + greet! **

Cheesy is full of life and loves pull toys! Her foster says she is a very intelligent dog. She currently lives with a poodle and having another dog around really boosts her confidence!
Cheesy is about 75% house trained and will use the puppy pads with about 80% accuracy. She's healthy eater and trains well with positive reinforcement! She melts when you rub her head and tell her what a good girl she is. A verrrry affectionate dog! She loves to play fetch and would benefit from having some durable toys around as her puppy teeth are working overtime! If you're looking for an eager to learn and please pup, Cheesy is your gal!

More about this shelter

CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.

CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
