Miss Maya is ready for adoption! This sweet girl is 8 years young. She has been through a lot in the last few months. She found herself in the shelter as her one and only family had an emergency and could no longer care for her. She was so lost and scared.
After about 5 days we were able to get her pulled out. Maya settled into a nice quiet foster home where she found her new buddies. She went to the vet to have a dental and ended up having 17 teeth removed. On top of that, they found a spot on her leg that was removed and sent in for testing. It turned out to be low grade skin cancer. The excellent news is the tests showed they got it all (the edges were clear).
Sweet Maya LOVES to go for walks. She has not had potty accidents in her foster home, and loves her foster parents. She loves playing with her foster siblings, but she isn't always happy if they want to share a dog bed.

We require an application and a home visit prior to all of our adoptions. We do adopt out of state, and may have a representative from another rescue complete the home visit for us. Once the home visit is completed and approved, the dog is available for you to adopt! While this sounds like a lengthy process, it actually is often completed in a day or two. We have an adoption contract that is filled out at the time of adoption, along with adoption fee's collected at that time.

Under 1yr: $250
1yr to 9yrs: $200
10yrs and up: $150

We are a group of individuals who are dedicated to rescuing small breed dogs who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or left behind by their former owners. Our belief is that companion animals are living beings who are not merely "pets" but family members. We strive to find homes for them who share this view. We are committed to providing them with a temporary home where they receive veterinary care, including spay or neuter, socialization, exercise, love and good nutrition until their forever home can be found. We do not discriminate against small dogs based on breed or physical disability.
Mini Mighty Mutts is a limited admissions rescue. We can only take in as many animals as our foster homes can safely and responsibly care for. We do not euthanize animals to make room for more. We simply stop taking in new animals until we have room. Each homeless dog will remain in our care until he or she finds a new home.
