ADOPTION FEE WAIVED FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH

Maxwell, otherwise known as Maxy, is a total sweetheart. He had a rough start at life ending up at a shelter and about to be put down, but we rescued him and are determined to find him the most loving and safe home. Many might show some timidness in the very beginning as we believe he had an abusive past with men, but once he warms up, he is all fun, play, and love. He is very athletic and energetic and would thrive in an active household where he can play, go on lots of walks, runs, etc. He loves to play with humans, dogs, and toys. He is absolutely beautiful, and we believe he might have some Great Dane in him. Maxy has a sadness and sense of fear in his eyes, and he truly needs a family that will be patient with him, continue his training skills, show him that he is safe now, and shower him with love. He is a fantastic dog that deserves the best.

Dog is my Shepherd Rescue & Rehab is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue located in Illinois devoted to saving, training, and rehabbing dogs locally and nation-wide from the shelters to the streets. We rescue all breeds, all ages, all sizes, and all personalities. We don't discriminate, from pitbulls to puppies, and everything in between, we rescue them all. We are run by two dog loving gals that want to make a positive pawprint with both short term and long term goals. We know we cannot save them all, but we can save many, and it's our mission to make sure they get their happily ever after.
