My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I’m Carly!
I’m about seven months old and I am black with a little patch of white on my chest.

I love hanging out with my foster mom. I will stand on my hind legs to get petted and give her nose kisses and head bumps.  I like jumping onto her back when she bends down and climbing onto her shoulders.  She says I am like a puppy when I follow her around the house or when she calls for me and I come running to her.

My foster mom tells me what a cute meow I have.  I only use it when I want attention or food. I am a purr machine!  I love toys and have a favorite red ball I carry around in my mouth from room to room.  I am pretty rambunctious and I love to chase the laser pointer up and down the stairs with my brother Simon.

I am more outgoing than Simon, but I am still a little unsure of new people until they feed me a Churu or a treat.  After that I will be their best friend! I like my foster mom’s cats and tolerate her really big dog, but he likes to play chase which I don’t like.

Hi I’m Simon!
I’m about seven months old and I am a black and white tuxedo.

I like it when my foster mom pets me on my terms, usually in the morning when I greet her, when my sister Carly is purring and being petted, when I am hanging out napping on the cat climber, at night when I am playing with toys and when I climb onto her lap to get Churu.  I love to smell her fingers and her slippers.

I will raise my rear end for my foster mom to scratch the base of my tail.  I am shy, so I usually need to be in a relaxed mood or hear my sister purring for me to be affectionate. I have let my foster mom pick me up a couple of times and I am learning not to be scared when she does that. I will follow my foster mom around the house so I can be near her and check out what she is doing.

I am super curious and very smart.  I love to check out anything new that is brought into the house. I am shy around new people and it will take time for me to warm up to you. Since I love to play and eat, you can convince me to be your best friend with the right toys and treats.

I keep up with Carly when we chase the laser pointer up and down the stairs or chase after each other.  I love my foster mom’s cats and coo at them to tell them how much I like them. I am not too fond of the large dog, but not afraid when he runs by me.

We are current on vaccines, spayed and neutered and will be chipped before we are adopted. We both have meticulous litter habits, are not picky eaters and use our scratching posts. We love our foster mom, but we are ready for a loving, permanent home. We would love to be adopted together and if you have another cat friendly cat or dog, that would be great too! We are looking for a calm home without young children, with enough space to play and be rambunctious together. We need to be indoor only.
Adoption fee is $225

Potential adopters must submit an adoption application for review and evaluation.

We require that adopted cats be mainly indoor cats and no declawing is allowed. Adopters must be over 21 years old and sign a contract that lists out his/her responsibility as the cat's owner.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
