My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

NUTCRACKER hails from Sandy Lake in Northern Ontario and came south with his 5 siblings in search of his forever home. He’s had his first and second sets of vaccines, is microchipped and deemed healthy by his vet and ready to find his family. The breeds that we have him noted as are just a guess as is the weight he’ll be as an adult. He’s a very quiet and loving little guy who loves to spend his time chasing his sister around and snuggling with the kitten (TEAK) who’s in his foster home too.
NUTCRACKER sleeps in his crate at night without a peep and will take his naps in it during the day. He loves to go on walks and gets excited when he knows he’s going on one. He’s good on his leash but like all puppies he does pull and like to run ahead of you. He walks on a double leash with his sister and is comfortable doing that. He’s well socialized with other dogs and loves to run around and play with them. He requires a fenced yard so he can be kept safe and we recommend children be 6 and up. He would do great in a home with other dogs and also in one with a cat.

NUTCRACKER loves all sorts of toys but does seem to favour the fluffy squeaky ones. He’s also quite partial to shoes, boots and slippers so it’s best to put them up high where he can’t reach them. His housetraining is a work in progress as he’s not old enough to ask to go outside but he will go on the newspaper that’s by the door if he’s not taken outside soon enough. He takes his treats “gentle” and always sits for them plus his meals.

Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to be in agreement to sign him up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt him. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and as per our rescue policy, will be performed by 6 months of age. We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopter him.

If you would like to meet NUTCRACKER then please fill out the adoption application to do so.
