You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SUGAR PLUM hails from Sandy Lake in Northern Ontario and came south with her 5 siblings in search of her forever home. She’s had her first and second sets of vaccines, is microchipped and deemed healthy by her vet and ready to find her family. The breeds that we have her noted as are just a guess as is the weight she’ll be as an adult. She’s a very quiet loving little girl who loves to spend her time chasing her brother around and snuggling with the kitten (TEAK) who’s in her foster home too.
SUGAR PLUM sleeps in her crate at night without a peep and will take her naps in it during the day. She loves to go on walks and gets excited when she knows she’s going on one. She’s good on her leash but like all puppies she does pull and like to run ahead of you. She’s walked on a double leash with her brothers and is comfortable doing that. She’s well socialized with other dogs and loves to run around and play with them. She requires a fenced yard so she can be kept safe and we recommend children be 6 and up. She would do great in a home with other dogs and also in one with a cat.
SUGAR PLUM loves all sorts of toys but does seem to favour the fluffy squeaky ones. She’s also quite partial to shoes, boots and slippers so it’s best to put them up high where she can’t reach them. Her housetraining is a work in progress as she’s not old enough to ask to go outside but she will go on the newspaper that’s by the door if she’s not taken outside soon enough. She takes her treats “gentle” and always sits for them plus her meals.
Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to be in agreement to sign her up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt her. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and as per our rescue policy, will be performed by 6 months of age. We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopter her.
