My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nellie, a 1 yr old female Terrier mix is fully vetted, UTD on all vaccines, & ready for adoption! Nellie was a rescue pull from the Adams County Dog & Kennel & ever since she has shown up, everyone just adores her! Nellie will talk your ear off & show you those puppies eyes if she wants your attention. With her beautiful black coat & toned body, this girl is so gorgeous! She even likes to make crazy noises when she really wants something. Nellie would do great in a home with dogs, cats, & children. She could really be the perfect nanny dog for a family with children. Nellie knows basic commands & is housebroken. This girl is ready to meet her secret valentine & hopes they will adore her like she will them! If you think Nellie is the girl for you, place an application today! If you would be interested in giving me a furever home, please contact The Humane Society of Adams County, Inc. at (937) 544-8585 to set up a time to come meet me and fill out an adoption application!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is made up of two parts. Upon a decision to adopt an animal we require an application for adoption that asks questions such as housing and veterinary references. We then check references and may require a home visit. Upon approval you will fill out a contract for adoption and pay the adoption fees. Adoption fees are based on age and vetting required.
