My name is Verlander!

Verlander is a 1-year-old Lab/Shepherd mix who is very sweet and playful! He is a very friendly boy known for his big smile and love of quiet time. Verlander came to us with his three siblings who have all been adopted. He was one of the smallest of the four, weighing a little under 40 lbs and standing about knee-high. Verlander still has plenty of room to grow and will possibly be over or right at 50 lbs when fully grown. He loves to play outside and enjoys bathing in the sunshine. He is a little shy at first but warms up pretty quickly! Verlander will need to find a home who is willing to work with and train him as he matures into adulthood, but he is a very smart boy, and we think he will catch on quickly! Verlander loves other dogs, is curious about kitties, and is very patient with kids. He would be an amazing addition to any family looking for a sweet pup for their quiet household!

The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
