My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet handsome Maximus! This good looking boy was recently surrendered to us with his sister, Apricot, when his family could no longer care for him. Max is very shy but loves a good scratch under the chin and a quiet environment. While he may not do well in a busy home, we think he will thrive with a family that will give him some time to gain confidence and feel comfortable. Max should do well in a home with other friendly cats and friendly dogs but we recommend a home with older children that will give him the space he needs to settle in.
Maximus is already neutered, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on his vaccines. Come meet this fluffy boy today!

More about this shelter

Eagle County Animal Shelter and Services handles all of the animal control and animal shelter services for Eagle County. We are a small shelter and are considered socially conscious, which means we are "no-kill" for space. We are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and item donations. If you are interested in donating to the shelter we have a wish list available that includes lots of items that we use everyday here at our shelter to benefit the dogs and cats directly. Please call us at 970-328-DOGS if you are interested in volunteering. We love to have people come in to socialize our cats and walk and socialize the dogs. Come see us!!
