Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Spike. I know what you are thinking; I am some big, muscular guy. The funny thing is I only weigh 6 pounds and am a 13-year-old Chihuahua! I could stand to gain some weight. My teeth were not great, so I had a tough time eating. Now that I have had my dental, we hope that will change.
Sleeping is my favorite thing at my age, but I can still get bursts of energy and love taking walks on my leash. While I am crate-trained, I do not like being in there and will make sure you know it! I am hard of hearing, so noises do not bother me, but I will probably not hear you calling my name either. My foster mom says I am a pretty chill, well-balanced little man, and I get along with other dogs, big and small, once I get to know them. Kids are ok with me if they are not too small.
All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility. Meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.
