My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peter is a young dog with a sad story, and he is looking for his second forever family. Peter has had a rough go at life in his short years. First he was dumped on the streets of Houston, found himself on the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter, after being saved by our rescue and finding his perfect person, Peter contracted an unknown bacterial infection in his leg, causing him to lose that leg and is now a Tri-pod, then he lost his perfect person who suddenly passed away. Thank goodness for a friend who is now fostering him while our rescue helps Peter find his new home. Peter is very loving and LOVES attention. I think he was pretty spoiled with his previous owner...lol. Don't think for a minute that Peter losing his leg slows him down. Not a chance. Peter is full of life and does NOT let his loss of a leg get in his way. He can keep up with the best of them. Peter is dog friendly, but cats are unknown. His foster mom says he does enjoy chasing the chickens but has never attempted to hurt one....just LOVES the chase. He's the guy you can cuddle with for a movie or at bedtime and he's ready for an adventure when you are. He is perfect for any living situation or family dynamic. You cannot lose with adopting Peter. He is currently located in the Houston area, but transport can be arranged to anywhere in the U.S and the Canadian Border. Please let us know if you have any questions,
