Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Silly, Social, Simply Stunning!
Vampire Slayer is a curious and cuddly special needs kitty who will make your heart melt with her zest for life! She is super affectionate and loves humans and other cats, and her favorite pastime is following her foster parents around the house, waiting until someone stops to love on her. She is a chatty girl and will confidently let you know what she thinks; meow back to her, and she will hold an entire conversation!
Vampire Slayer was born with a shortened spine that didn’t develop normally; she doesn’t have a tail and her non-working back legs were surgically removed to improve her ongoing health and mobility. Sounds like a lot, right? But not to VS; that is a very small part of who she is! She scoots happily around on her little rear end and isn’t fazed by anything. She has a huge personality to match her huge eyeballs (look at the photos, she has AMAZING eyes), and cuddling her is kind of like cuddling a living teddy bear - she’s so soft!
VS is full of energy and will play with anything that moves! Seriously. She gets the zoomies big time - zoom zoom zoom! - and then naps hard. She gets along well with the cats in her foster home, even the grouchy one. She has met dogs a couple of times, and was very brave and curious; we think she could live just fine with a gentle pup.
VS has urinary and fecal incontinence and needs manual expression - which means, gently squeeze her bladder and intestines - a few times a day to help her go potty. Sometimes, she wears a diaper for a couple hours at a time between expressions. Manual expressions are pretty straightforward, and doesn't take much time to care for her; once you get the hang of it, it could take no more than a couple of minutes; APA! will show you how to manually express her and make sure you are comfortable with it. It’s easier than you may imagine! For more information, please contact APA!
VS would do best in a home with kitty playmates, people to talk to and share affection with, and who can give her a lot of interaction. Her human(s) should be able to accommodate her potty schedule. That’s it! She’s pretty easygoing!
Vampire Slayer is special in all sorts of ways! She is a loving and amazing companion. Contact us today to learn more, and to meet her!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
