Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Colette! This spirited young girl adores butt scratches and is eager to share her cozy cuddles with a special someone. With a playful spirit, Colette is always up for a game of tug of war-it's one of her absolute favorites!
Not only is she a fun-loving companion, but she's also quite the brainiac! Colette is eager to learn and loves showing off her tricks, with "spin" being her latest achievement. She's fully house-trained, happily roaming around without any destructive tendencies when left home alone.
Colette gets along well with other dogs and has lived with a cat; so she could happily share her home with a furry sibling. She's also spent some time with a pot-belly pig and tortoise on a fieldtrip; she was completely unphased so we think she could be great for a home with some farm animals too!
Colette is looking for someone who has had experience with dogs to help her transition from shelter life so she can flourish. We know that change can be tough; especially after being in this stressful environment for so long. Our hope is that with the help of an experienced foster she can overcome her past and look towards her future. Colette and her foster will also have the full support of APA's behavioral team to make sure she settles in well and that you are set up for success throughout this process! If you or someone you know has the experience to help our sweet Colette please email matchmaker@austinpetsalive.org today!
