My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Matilda. This sweet senior lady is about 10 years old and has not had the easiest time lately. She was released outside last fall by the county shelter and brought back in again as a stray. Both times she had skin problems that are believed to be due to a flea allergy. One of the rescue coordinators at animal control reached out to us and said the outdoor life is clearly not working for Matilda and we were happy to go pick her up! Tonight Matilda is resting in comfort with her choice of soft beds and yummy food. She's watching cat tv on YouTube and enjoying watching the fish swim around and peaceful music before bed. Matilda's skin issues are healing well and she should be good as new soon!
After getting to know Matilda, we can say she is a very friendly girl. She loves to be out and comes up to get pets and loves people. She also enjoys canned food very much! Matilda is a wonderful cat that deserves to live out her golden years in style with all the love she deserves.

More about this rescue

Five Friends Animal Rescue, Inc. is a foster-based animal welfare organization of volunteers dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters, strays, and owner surrenders. We provide these animals with care and temporary homes until we can place them into their permanent homes. We also serve as a resource to our community by providing information on pet ownership, including resources for spay/neuter and positive behavior training. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no companion animal is euthanized for lack of a home.
