My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

** COURTESY POST **

** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them **

** For information contact Lina Hilstad;  Linavlira@gmail.com425-308-0052  **

Samantha (Sam/Sammie) is a long hair domestic cat. She is approximately 14.5/15 yrs old. She’s super affectionate and wants to cuddle all the time. She likes to sleep with her human, sometimes even under the covers. And she hugs you when she does sleep under the covers. It’s super sweet. She likes to purr a lot, and when she’s super happy, she tends to drool a bit as she nozzles  her human.

Samantha is shy at first, but after a short warming up period, she will love on you all day long. She is a perfect lap cat.  Samantha will do better as a single home cat with no kids. She is the queen and needs to have control over her dominion. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots.  Her vet is Animal Hospital of Rowlett- Dr Wawak.

I need to rehome Samantha because I had a baby in October, and 2 months prior to her arrival, Samantha started peeing outside of the little box. I’ve tried everything, changed the box, got her checked out to rule out UTI and other possible causes. I implemented Feliway pherormones and nothing. She’s acting out of spite, peeing everywhere. and I can only assume it's because of the new baby. It’s a difficult decision to rehome her, but I feel she will do better in a home with no other animals or young children.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization.  FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
